Scenic Drives: You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking scenic drives through the Tibetan Plateau, passing by high mountain passes, pristine lakes, and stunning landscapes.

Cultural Exploration: Visit historic and culturally significant sites such as Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Samya Monastery, Tsurpu Monastery, Gyantse, and various other monasteries along the way.

Important Buddhist Monasteries : Explore Tibetan Buddhism through visits to monasteries like Tsurpu, Shalu, Pholkor, and Kumbum Monastery. These sites provide insight into the spiritual and religious traditions of Tibet.

High Mountain Passes: Cross high mountain passes like Getchu La, Kora La, and Kamba La, which offer panoramic views of the Tibetan landscape and the feeling of standing on the “roof of the world.”

Yamdrok Lake: Enjoy the stunning beauty of Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s most picturesque and sacred lakes.

Personal Free Time: Day 5 in Lhasa provides you with a day to explore Lhasa at your own pace, giving you the flexibility to focus on your interests or simply relax and take in the city.

Crossing Borders: Experience the process of crossing international borders, including necessary immigration formalities at the Nepal-Tibet border.

Itinerary

Drive Early in the morning scenic drive to Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, Chinese immigration, Continue drive to Kerung. Stay overnight at Hotel

Day drives uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering the sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. Continue scenic drive crossing Over Getchu La (5,220M), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Drive to Samya Monastery the first monastery in Tibet. Explore around Samya and Drive to Tsedang O/N at Hotel

After breakfast, drive to Tsurpu Monastery (The head seat of Karmapa) en route - Drive to Lhasa O/N at Hotel.

In Lhasa

In Lhasa: Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar, O/N at Hotel.

Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake and high passes: Kora LA (5,010m) & Kamba La (4,794m) – Sight-seeing in Gyantse including Pholkor & Kumbum Monastery. O/N at Hotel

Scenic drive to Xigatse(1.5hrs) through the typical Tibetan Countryside Visit Shalu Monastery en route– and visit Tashi limpho Monastery Hotel.

journey to Xegar crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m) – then drive Saga (4,600m) 280 km. O/N at Hotel.

Our journey takes us back to Kyirong, where you can reflect on the profound experiences and spiritual growth during the pilgrimage.

Today, we cross the Kyirong border and drive back to Kathmandu, concluding the tour. Spend the evening Sherpa Home Hotel in Kathmandu, cherishing the sacred memories of the journey
