Overview

The Langtang Valley Trek is a captivating journey through the heart of the Langtang region, renowned for its stunning Himalayan vistas, rich biodiversity, and vibrant Tamang culture. Trekkers traverse scenic trails, passing through lush forests, charming villages, and alpine meadows, culminating in the spectacular views of snow-capped peaks like Langtang Lirung.

Day 01 :

Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m)

Depart from Kathmandu early in the morning. Enjoy a scenic drive through rural Nepal. Arrive at Syabrubesi, the starting point of the trek. Overnight stay in a lodge in Syabrubesi.

Day 02 :

Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m)

Begin trekking after breakfast. Trek through forests and small settlements. Cross the Langtang Khola multiple times.
Reach Lama Hotel, a cluster of lodges amidst the forest. Overnight stay in a lodge in Lama Hotel.

Day 03 :

Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m)

Continue trekking through rhododendron and oak forests. Trek through and Pass by waterfalls and prayer wheels along the trail.
Reach Langtang Village, a traditional Tamang settlement. Explore the village and interact with locals. Overnight stay in a lodge in Langtang Village.

Day 04 :

Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa(3,870m)

Trek towards Kyanjin Gompa, the final destination. Enjoy panoramic views of the Langtang range. Pass by yak pastures and stone huts. Arrive at Kyanjin Gompa, a picturesque village. Overnight stay in a lodge in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 05 :

Kyanjin Gompa hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) or Tserko Ri (4,984m)

Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Optionally, hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) or Tserko Ri (4,984m) for stunning panoramic views. Visit the local cheese factory or interact with the locals. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 06 :

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,380m)

Begin the descent back towards Lama Hotel. Enjoy the views of the Langtang Valley one last time.
Trek through forests and cross the Langtang Khola again.Reach Lama Hotel by late afternoon.
Overnight stay in a lodge in Lama Hotel.

Day 07 :

Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1,550m)

Trek back to Syabrubesi, retracing your steps. Pass through familiar landscapes and villages. Arrive in Syabrubesi by early afternoon. Celebrate the completion of the trek.
Overnight stay in a lodge in Syabrubesi.

Day 08 :

Syabrubesi to Kathmandu(1,400m)

Drive back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the scenic journey and reminisce about the trek. Arrive in Kathmandu by late afternoon or evening.
