Overview

The Thupten Chholing Monastery and Pikey Peak trek is a 10-day journey through Nepal’s stunning landscapes and spiritual heartlands. Starting in Kathmandu, the trek involves a scenic drive to Phaplu, followed by a trek through lush forests and traditional Sherpa villages to the Thupten Chholing Monastery. This Tibetan Buddhist monastery, founded in the early 1960s, is a serene retreat known for its spiritual significance and picturesque setting. After exploring the monastery, the trek continues to Taktor and then ascends to Pikey Peak Base Camp. Pikey Peak, at 4,065 meters, offers some of the best panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Everest and Kanchenjunga. The trek concludes with a descent to Dhap and a drive back to Kathmandu, providing a comprehensive experience of Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural richness
