The Pikey-Dudh Kunda Trek is an exciting and off-the-beaten-path adventure in the Lower Everest region of Nepal. This trek combines the scenic Pikey Peak Trek with the spiritual journey to the sacred Dudh Kunda Lake, providing a unique and diverse experience for trekkers.

Dudh Kunda lake also known as Milky Lake, is a sacred lake revered by both Buddhists and Hindus. deeply rooted in religious and cultural significance.

For Buddhists, Dudh Kunda is believed to be the abode of the protective deity Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), who is highly venerated in Tibetan Buddhism and For Hindus, the lake is associated with Lord Shiva

Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our team and transferred to our hotel Sherpa Home near Swyambhu Stupa. Take the day to rest, recover from your journey, and explore the bustling streets of Kathmandu, soaking in the rich culture and heritage of the city.

We begin our adventure with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar. The journey takes us through picturesque landscapes and rural villages, offering a glimpse into the traditional way of life in the Nepalese countryside. Arriving at Dhap Bazaar, we spend the night at a tea house, preparing for the trek ahead.

Today, we start our trek and head towards Jhapre, a beautiful Sherpa village. As we walk through terraced fields and rhododendron forests, we are greeted by stunning mountain views. Jhapre offers a serene atmosphere, and we immerse ourselves in the local culture and warm hospitality.

Continuing our trek, we make our way to Pikey Base Camp. The trail rewards us with breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Numbur, and other majestic peaks. We prepare for an early morning hike to Pikey Peak to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the Himalayas

Today, we wake up early to hike up Pikey Peak, As you reach the summit of Pikey Peak, the world unfolds before your eyes in a breathtaking spectacle that will stay etched in your memory forever. The panoramic view from Pikey Peak is a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of snow-capped peaks, lush valleys, and charming villages.
You are greeted by the Himalayan range including the majestic Mount Everest itself, standing tall as the pinnacle of the world. The Everest region's prominent peaks, such as Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam, and also Kanchenjunga, the third-highest mountain in the world, Langtang range, with Langtang Lirung and other peaks form a majestic backdrop that leaves you in awe of the Earth's highest reaches.
The view from Pikey Peak is a celebration of nature's beauty and a humbling reminder of the grandeur of the Himalayas. It's an experience that fills your heart with gratitude and leaves you with an indelible connection to this pristine mountain wilderness.

Begin the Dudh Kunda Lake Trek as you trek to Saharsbeni. The trail winds through enchanting rhododendron forests and passes through traditional Sherpa villages. Enjoy the warm hospitality and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Today is the highlight of the trek as you hike to the sacred Dudh Kunda Lake. This serene and mystical lake holds great religious significance for the locals. Spend some time at the lake, taking in the breathtaking mountain views before returning to Saharsbeni.

From here, trekkers start descending through the picturesque landscapes, rhododendron forests, and traditional Sherpa villages.The trail offers opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the Solukhumbu region and interact with the friendly locals.

Approximately 7-9 hours a scenic road journey from Phaplu to Kathmandu. The route offers beautiful views of the Nepali countryside, lush hills, and traditional villages along the way. and over night arrival in Kathmandu
