Trekking to the Khopra Valley is the best alternative destination for Poon Hill trek in Annapurna Region. Not so touristic area, one of the best View Point in world, sunrise over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayas and not so high altitude are the most highlight of this Trek

Itinerary

Day 1  Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 2  Flight/ Drive to Pokhara,

Day 3 Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhung (1488m)

Day 4  Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani 2875m

Day 5  Ghorepani to Upper Chistibung 3000m

Day 6  Upper Chistibung to Khopra Danda   3640m

Day 7  Rest day in Khopra Danda, explore Khayar Lake (4660m)

Day 8  Khopra Danda to Tatopani 1250m

Day 9  Drive Tatopani to Pokhara

Day 10  Drive or Flight back to Kathmandu

Day 11   Departure

Equipment List

Head:
– Sun hat or scarf of Buff
– Warm fleece hat
– Sunglasses
– Sun cream
Lower Body:
– Under Garments
– Hiking Trouser
– Lightweight cotton long pants
Feet:
– Thin, lightweight inner socks
– Thick, warm wool hiking socks
– Hiking boots
– Camp shoes (sport shoe /or sandals)
Upper Body:
– T-shirts
– Light and expedition weight thermal tops
– Fleece jacket or pullover
– Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional)
– Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell jacket
